DSM Nutritional Products, the successor to Roche’s Vitamins and Fine Chemicals Division, is the world’s leading supplier of vitamins, carotenoids and other fine chemicals to the feed, food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.

NutraAccess, an e-Business portal enables customers and vendors to carry out business through the web portal or via the market place like Ariba and CommerceOne.

This system was developed to reduce the response time to the customer and enhance the complete supply chain.

Requirement Analysis, Requirement Estimation, Technical Analysis, Programming and Technical documentation.

Software System Details

  • Web-based system, WebObjects (Java based RAD tool), Java 1.2, Tamino (XML Database) Version 2.3.1,SAP Business Connector 4.0, XML, XSL.
  • SAP, xCBL (XML Common Business Library), cXML (Common XML).
  • The project completed in record time of 9 months and saved the client significantly on the costs.

Personal Notes

This project gave me an opportunity to work in Java. My first and the only assignment in Java. I was assigned the user management module development.

It was this project in which i was exposed to new technical development environments WebObject (Rapid Application Development tool), Tamino (an XML Database) and XML. In addition, learned about common marketplace such as Ariba and CommerceOne.
