Project Management Training and Consulting
Project management challenges are common across industries. The engineering industries are better in terms of planning as most of the time the outcome is defined better when compared to a service based projects.
Having said that, without a proper WBS, a scheduling tool and lack of stakeholder management leads to considerable losses in the projects.
I was fortunate to have few clients engagements from the mining, special purpose machine manufacturing and engineering industries.
Some of the learning implemented in my project are:
- Creating a detailed project plan entailing all project activities along with timelines and resource names.
- Tracking actual progress vis-à-vis projection.
- Maintained a stakeholder matrix to document stakeholders involved in the project.
- Communication and Governance framework with relevant functions / entities involved.
- Some of the PM principles in line with our transition framework i.e. Scoping, Feasibility, Implementation, Ramp-up and BAU sign-off
Dear Mr. Raghu,
Season’s greetings to you!Your association with us during the training program on MS Project has been a learning process supported by your approach of problem solving.
Your post–training support to resolve issues in preparing & tracking a project plan, continued years after years is astonishing. We could use the learning in our ongoing project implementation of a manufacturing unit installation and found it useful for day to day monitoring and management decisions.
Thanks for your continuous support.
Dear Mr.Raghu,
Recently our management had given me a project of compiling last financial year business data within a stipulated time which I did in that period and submitted. Another assignment I did was an export order offer submission. That also I have completed in time. Thanks for your valuable time spent to us. Awaiting for more interaction in future.
I enjoyed the sessions for Project Planning. Could learn a lot and expand my horizons. Thanks.
